In fact, according to research conducted by Edelman Trust Barometer in 2022 , 59% of respondents believe businesses are failing to adequately address issues related to climate change or economic inequality. On the other hand, it seems values-driven decision making from consumers and stakeholders is increasingly prominent; 58% would buy or advocate for brands based on their beliefs while 60% gravitate towards workplaces with similar ideals.
